The Auckland Manukau Dressage Group, was formed in 1977 to organise and promote Dressage in the Auckland area. Our committee is elected at our May Annual General meeting and is active year round, meeting each month on the third Monday at 7.30pm. These meetings are open for all members to attend. We have a delegate to the New Zealand Dressage Committee who reports back to our meetings on the Dressage scene in New Zealand.
The group holds a 3 day Spring series of competitions, a 3 day Auckland Dressage Championship Show, normally held in January, an Amateur, Young Rider and Pony Championship Show, and an Autumn series Feb-May. These are all run under ESNZ and DNZ rules, riders must be members of the ESNZ and horses must be registered for Dressage to compete in the registered classes.
Classes for non ESNZ members and unregistered horses are available at most of our competition days, as an introduction to Dressage and we hold winter training competitions which are open to all. We often hold club days during winter. The group has two large all weather arenas capable of accommodating 8 full sized competition arenas. Shows and club days are held at Clevedon Showgrounds, Monument Rd, Clevedon.
Membership is open to anyone who is interested in the sport, whether competitor or supporter. Member benefits include:

Reduced ground fee at competitions held at Clevedon.
Preferential status for starts in competitions when balloting of entries occurs.
Spring and Autumn series trophies.
