AMDG Rider Development Camp 2026

Building on the success of our inaugural Rider Development Camp, the popular event is back for 2026 open to all ages and stages!

Join us for a fun packed weekend event of riding lessons, practice tests, hands-on workshops and speaker sessions. Camping (with toilet and shower facilities) available onsite. Covered yards are included.

DATES & TIMES

  • Saturday 11 April 8.45am to 7pm

  • Sunday 12 April ~12.30pm (depending on practice test ride times)

Fees

FULL payment to bank account 03 0399 0150472 02 is required to secure your spot!

  • $250 for a riding participant who is a current financial AMDG member (join our club here) - includes one support person

  • $30 for a non-riding spectator (open to everyone)

  • $300 for a riding participant who is NOT an AMDG member

    • WAITLIST ONLY initially, AMDG members will be prioritised for riding spots

Day 1

  • 1 x Individual riding lesson (45mins)

  • Hands-on workshops & speaker sessions

  • Dressage fun quiz over a casual late afternoon social event

Day 2

  • Coached warm-up & Practice test with feedback from judges

  • Session on arena craft

Workshops

  • Rider pilates

  • Pole work for the dressage horse

  • Saddle fitting - to the rider

  • Goal setting and dealing with nerves

  • Correct contact with Bounce

  • Feed weighing and balancing

  • Turnout
